ENAAK webinar: How can membership figures be increased in times of crisis?
Rebekka Seubert is the director of the Dortmunder Kunstverein, which was recently awarded the prize for art societies/Kunstvereine in Germany. She reports on her diverse activities, which have made the Kunstverein known beyond the city limits as well as on ideas and measures for attracting new target groups and retaining their loyalty to the Kunstverein even in difficult times.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Rebekka Seubert (*1985 in Frankfurt am Main) is a curator currently working as artistic director of the Dortmunder Kunstverein. She studied Franco-German Studies with focus on Culture & Institutions at the Universities of Regensburg and Clermont-Ferrand (BA) and Fine Arts at the École de Recherche Graphique, Brussels (BA) and the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg (MA), where she focused on curatorial theory and practice. From 2014-2016 she was employed as a lecturer at the HFBK Hamburg. She was curatorial assistant at Kunsthalle Portikus Frankfurt am Main, at Bonner Kunstverein, and artistic director at Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof, Hamburg and initiated multiple projects internationally as a free-lance curator.
